Learn about the National Quantum Algorithm Center (NQAC) at the IQMP

The National Quantum Algorithm Center (NQAC) at the IQMP is the platform for non-quantum companies and scientists across sectors to work with the Park’s quantum technology.

The NQAC is a membership organization that brings together industry end-users of quantum technology, quantum companies, academia, national labs and partners to advance quantum algorithms and applications that generate value for companies and society.

NQAC’s offerings include:

  • Research on specific Grand Challenges to develop high-impact quantum algorithms and applications
  • Corporate education and training programs to support industries and scientists on their quantum journeys
  • Prioritized access to IQMP’s quantum hardware and software to develop, test and run algorithms and applications

Society is facing major problems that cannot be solved by classical computers alone.

Algorithms and applications are the key to unlocking the full potential of quantum technology.

Some of the computational problems the NQAC plans to tackle include:

Double Chevron Right

Pharma

Quantum-accurate molecular property prediction from first-principles physics

Double Chevron Right

Finance & Risk

Rare event sampling for tail-risk modeling

Double Chevron Right

Energy

Non-convex optimization with linear non-constraints (e.g. for power grid)

Double Chevron Right

Chemistry

Accurate reaction thermodynamics prediction for industrial chemical processes

Double Chevron Right

Materials

Accurate quantum simulation of strongly correlated materials

Join the NQAC

Membership options are available for different types of organizations. Executives, researchers, and students can access NQAC benefits as part of their institution’s membership and enjoy the following member benefits.

Member Benefits:

  • Participation in Grand Challenges research, including opportunities for collaboration in research and application development with other members
  • Access to a broad network of industry end-users, quantum hardware and software companies, academic researchers, national labs and partners
  • Access to a full suite of programming, including corporate education and industry/academia collaborations
  • Access to and opportunities for funding quantum algorithm and application research and development
  • Opportunity to provide co-branded programming with NQAC for other NQAC members and the general public

Corporate Membership is available to:

  • Industry End-Users: Companies from key sectors that will use quantum technology
  • Quantum Companies: Hardware, algorithm and software companies
  • Professional Services Firms: Consulting, advisory services, etc.

Corporate members may also subscribe to a premium membership, which includes preferred and discounted access to quantum hardware and software that is part of the IQMP.

Non-Corporate Membership is available to:

  • Academia and National Labs: Research universities and national laboratories
  • Partners: Non-governmental organizations, philanthropy groups, etc.

All members and non-members will have access to NQAC public programming (e.g., white papers, select events and more.)
