Amy Wu is a PhD graduate in Physics from the University of California, Irvine, with a background in 2D materials, semiconducting metals and cryogenic transport measurements. Originally from Chicago and an alumna of University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, she is excited to return to Chicago and apply her research expertise to practical challenges in technology development.
As Visiting Quantum Computing Research Program Manager, Amy collaborates with the team to help develop the quantum tech scene in Chicago, specifically focusing on user facilities and infrastructure, workforce development and connecting private-sectors with partner institutions.
