Shaunna D. Sims-Davis is a seasoned leader with over a decade of experience in both the public and private sectors. She currently serves as the Community Advisor at IQMP, where she brings her strategic expertise and deep commitment to community advancement.
Previously, Sims-Davis was the Chief Equity Officer for the Chicago 2024 Host Committee, where she led procurement efforts for the Democratic National Convention and achieved a historic 47% spend with minority- and women-owned businesses.
Her public service includes serving as Chief Deputy of External Affairs for Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias, where she led public engagement initiatives. She also served as Director of Community Development Initiatives at the University of Chicago, supporting economic development in the Hyde Park, Kenwood, and Woodlawn neighborhoods.
Earlier in her career, Sims-Davis worked under former Mayor Rahm Emanuel as Political Director and later as Deputy Procurement Officer. She is also the founder of The Hayvis Group, a consulting firm specializing in hospitality, government affairs, community engagement, and real estate.
A lifelong Chicagoan, Sims-Davis lives on the southeast side of Chicago with her husband, Howard Davis, and their dog, Thor. She is a devoted member of New Life Covenant Southeast, where she has been active for over 17 years.
